Accreditation

WHAT IS ACCREDITATION?

Refers to the grant of authority by the Department of Migrant Worker (DMW) to a foreign principal/employer to recruit and hire Filipino workers through a licensed Philippine Recruitment Agency (PRA) for overseas employment. Accreditation is usually valid for four (4) years unless sooner revoked for cause.

Documentary requirements for Accreditation must be VERIFIED by the Migrant Workers Office Hong Kong.

Who can apply for Accreditation?

Refers to company, or corporation that directly signs an employment contract, and employs, and pays salaries and benefits of workers, as well as repatriates hired Overseas Filipino Workers

Refers to any single proprietor, partnership or corporation duly licensed in the host country to engage in the recruitment of foreign workers for placement with their clients.

Refers to a principal/ employer which has never been accredited with any licensed manning agency; provided, that its new ship must not have been enrolled with any licensed manning agency. The principal/ employer and its ship shall likewise not have directly hired Filipino seafarers.

How to apply?

Foreign Placement agencies or Employers/Companies must first find a partner Philippine Recruitment Agency (PRA) Check the list of licensed PRA at Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) official website: https://dmw.gov.ph/licensed-recruitment-agencies

Submit complete documentary requirements to MWO Hong Kong Counter 11 personally.

INCOMPLETE application will be returned immediately. MWO Hong Kong will evaluate the documents submitted. Evaluation Period is three (3) to five (5) working days upon receipt of COMPLETE documentary requirements. Applicants can only follow-up if no notice/feed-back was received after 5 working days.

If everything is found to be in order/ complete, MWO will verify the documents and inform you on the date of release via phone call.

MWO will collect the appropriate fees and release Verified documents. See Schedule of Fees

MWO will issue, upon full compliance with the requirements, a Certificate of Accreditation duly signed by the Labor Attache.

FPA/ Principal Employer send ORIGINAL Verified Documents and Certificate of Accreditation to its partner Philippine Recruitment Agency (PRA).

The Philippine Recruitment Agency (PRA) submits ORIGINAL Verified Documents and Certificate of Accreditation to DMW for final approval and Registration.

DMW evaluates the original Verified Documents, if everything is in order, DMW will register the FPA/ Principal Employer duly accredited by MWO and approve the job order.

The Philippine Recruitment Agency (PRA) can now start recruiting and/or processing the employment documents of the worker.
